We take the long road because the shortcuts don't go anywhere.

Long Road Partners is owned and run by its co-founders, Jeremy and Tracy Kane. We're operators first: we own the gyms and schools we talk about, and we built the software they run on.

Long Road Partners started in 2015 as an advisory firm. Advising taught us a lot. Owning taught us more.

For years we helped schools, healthcare companies, and growing businesses design and scale solutions to hard problems. In 2023 we started buying the kind of businesses we'd spent our careers around: gyms and schools where kids learn and grow.

Today we own and run three of them, and we've built three companies that serve the people who run, coach, and grow up in places like them. We put our own people in the building, every day.

Jeremy Kane

Jeremy Kane

Co-Founder and CEO, Long Road Partners · Founder and CEO, K2 Achievement

Jeremy has spent more than 20 years building and running places where kids learn and grow. He grew up in South Nashville, swam at Stanford as a world-ranked swimmer, and wrote speeches for U.S. Senator John Kerry before going back to the classroom to teach.

In 2006 he mortgaged his house, knocked on more than a thousand doors, and opened LEAD Academy, which grew from a middle school into Nashville's first public charter high school. He then built LEAD Public Schools, Tennessee's first charter management organization, into six schools and 250+ employees. That included two conversions of struggling district schools, Cameron College Prep (Tennessee's first district-charter conversion) and Brick Church College Prep, plus LEAD Southeast and LEAD Madison. He stepped down in 2014, the year LEAD graduated its first senior class.

He founded Long Road Partners in 2015, launched Hustle/Op in 2019, and started buying businesses in 2023. Today he runs K2 Achievement, which owns K2 Academy, Top Flight Gymnastics, and Explorers Learning Centers, and leads the companies Long Road built: Hustle/Op, Bivvy Health, and Set Point.

Jeremy holds a BA from Stanford and a Master of Public Policy from Vanderbilt. He and Tracy live in the Salt Lake City area with their two daughters, and spend most of their free time at gyms, courts, and trailheads.

The path to growth runs along the long road.

Technology as a transformative force

We don't bolt on tech for the sake of it. We use it to streamline operations, surface better data, personalize customer engagement, and prototype fast. The goal is always the same: research the problem fully before designing the solution.

A trusted brand and real customer experience

Your brand is the promise you keep. We work on brand strategy, content, communications, PR, and earned media to build the kind of trust that compounds over time.

Growth that doesn't break at scale

Market assessment, business model transformation, organizational readiness, change management, launch planning. We help companies grow in ways that hold up.

Built on transparency.

We get to know your business before we touch anything. We spend time with owners and their teams to understand goals, approach, and culture. We don't seek to fix what isn't broken.

Our objective is long-term capital appreciation. Ownership in our companies averages more than 5 years. We implement equity plans for company executives because when people have a stake in the outcome, they build better things.

We're 100% transparent. No backroom conversations, no hidden agendas. If we think something won't work, we'll say so. That's what candor looks like.

Want to work together?

Whether you're building, buying, or figuring it out, we'd love to hear from you.
